At Cathedral Dental, our cosmetic dentistry masters mean we can help you transform your smile with composite bonding.

What is composite bonding?

Composite bonding is a minimally invasive cosmetic dentistry treatment that can be completed in just one appointment. Using composite resin, we can fill in small cracks, chips, and gaps in the teeth to help create a more even and photogenic-looking smile. Patients love the results – and the speed with which they can be achieved.

Who is composite bonding most suitable for?

Composite bonding is a great choice for patients looking to improve and enhance their smiles. While composite bonding doesn’t address any clinical issues you might have, it can help create the photo-ready smile you’ve been dreaming of. It’s often used in conjunction with other treatments such as orthodontics and teeth whitening and is the ideal way to produce the super sleek finish you’re looking for.

What is the treatment like?

As mentioned, this treatment can be applied in just one appointment – even better, it doesn’t involve any injections or drilling most of the time, making it a comfortable experience for the patient. During the appointment, we’ll apply the composite resin material – which is incredibly natural-looking – and professionally shape and contour it to your smile.

What are Composite Veneers?

Like more traditional porcelain veneers, composite veneers are applied over the natural tooth in ultra-thin layers. They are less invasive than porcelain veneers, however, and can be used to address more specific issues with an individual tooth, or several teeth. Composite veneers can be used to cover just part of a discoloured or otherwise damaged tooth, for example, rather than the whole tooth.

What is Composite Edge Bonding?

With composite edge bonding, only the edge of the tooth or teeth are treated, rather than the whole tooth. Normally applied to low-pressure areas, such as the upper front teeth, or the incisors, composite edge bonding can be applied to 8-10 teeth at once.
